Individuals over processes, working software over documents, collaboration over contracts and embracing change over a plan forms the well-known Agile Manifesto. But is Agile what the Manifesto describes? Is it possible to scale agile in an outsourced, distributed scenario without diluting the manifesto? Can Agile survive in an environment of fixed price/SLA based contracts? Can Agile scale to hundreds of developers in multiple locations? Agile has scaled, it is working, it is successful but is it the same agile that the manifesto talks about?
